HIP HOP ALBUMS X MATERIAL BANK

Using Material Bank as a design tool, I developed a creative process that transforms iconic hip hop album covers into architectural material palettes. By pulling textures, colors, and finishes directly inspired by the visual language of each album, I bridge the gap between culture and the built environment. This approach allows hip hop’s energy, identity, and storytelling to influence real-world design decisions—bringing cultural relevance into architectural spaces. Through this work, I aim to challenge traditional aesthetics, honor the visual power of hip hop, and celebrate the ways music and materiality can shape how we experience space.
