SOUTHEASTERN HIGH SCHOOL

As part of the South Eastern High School Career Panel, as a recent architecture graduate I joined a diverse group of professionals to speak with students about pathways to success after graduation. Representing the fields of architecture, community development, and creative design, I shared insight on pursuing a design education, overcoming challenges as a minority in the industry, and using cultural identity as a source of inspiration in their work. The discussion emphasized the importance of representation, perseverance, and finding purpose in one’s career journey. Students left encouraged to explore their passions and envision futures in fields they may have never imagined for themselves.
