NOIR DESIGN PARTI:

Black Women in Architecture Brunch and Panel Discussion

Celebration of Black women shaping the world of architecture. This intimate brunch and panel discussion created space for meaningful dialogue around identity, design justice, and navigating the profession as Black women. The event highlighted both trailblazers and emerging voices who are redefining the field with cultural depth, resilience, and creative vision.

One of the panelists, a recent architecture graduate, shared reflections on entering the profession as a minority woman—speaking to the challenges of underrepresentation, the importance of visibility, and the power of community support. The conversation centered around mentorship, design as advocacy, and what it means to build while being rooted in one’s identity.
